Back to Balsam bashing again this week after last week stopped our extreme weeding due to heavy rain and fast river flow.
Going further down river the Balsam is disappointingly but I suppose not surprisingly worse then when i first surveyed the river in 2009.
River bank 2011
This is a section which is making its way up a 40 foot high almost vertical river bank which i could have reached from the river 2 years ago, we are however going to have to spend a few hours abseiling next week to reach it all.
Apart from this river bank there were no big surprises just more dense and wildly spread than it was 2 years ago.
